Project Directions:

You will be using everything you know and everything you can learn to make a success in your own terms. You must combine:

• Your own personal goals and values
• Company Research
• Industry Research
• Social and Economic Impact
• Text Models
• Our Decision Model
• Lectures

With each presentation, you must be announcing and explaining a new decision.

Research must first be basic, then be action oriented.

The first stage of decisions will be based on chapters 10-13 of Czinkota.

The first stage is to do "basic research." Collect comprehensive information and identify sources for future use.

You are to organize your team as an International Information System. "Environmental Scanning"

• You should be assembling a library of materials that you will be able to draw on through the whole project.
• Organize the members by major topics and sources.
• You should have information about all of the functional areas of business.
• You should have information about suppliers, competitors, and customers.
• You should know about government regulations in the industry.
• You should identify sources of information for new developments, and plan to monitor them.

Basic Research should be completed by Tuesday, February 16.

Press Conference that day.

First presentations due Wednesday, February 24, 1999.
